ETCenter and ETCentric Websites
Using Wordpress, I am in charge of updating and maintaining both the ETCenter and ETCentric news websites. One of my goals since joining ETC has been to redesign the website with the future-driven vision and style. We are currently in the process of redesigning the website.
I have included one of my mockups for the site, simplifying the user experience and navigation. While designing this landing page, I realized that I could improve how the news stories are displayed. I utilized a card style that highlights our daily top stories of the day with a preview image and with less text, highlighting the title. My goal is to lead users through a clean interface that begins with the top stories every time they visit the site.
When scrolling through the Also Noted and More News, visitors are intentionally led to our call to action for visitors to subscribe to the Daily ETCentric News Brief. The footer also contains convenient navigation to other links on the site.
Student Forum Speaker
I was also selected to be on the panel of seven USC undergraduate students to share my views on media at the Entertainment Technology Center's All Members Meeting. Topics ranged from streaming services, movies to TV / video, mobile screens, and virtual reality.
