My Role

Integrated Marketing Communications and Social Media for the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation

Overview

I am a student coordinator for the Communications and Social Media team at the USC Iovine and Young Academy. I enjoy being a student of the program, and working behind the scenes to develop and execute content strategy, social media, creative design and website posts. Since I began, my efforts have increased reach and engagement by 250% on Instagram and Facebook channels.

Here is the button I created for USC's Family Weekend that was distributed to all of the families including Jimmy Iovine!

Social Media Content


Within our team, I help to coordinate the posts across our main platforms: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I established the visual design by adding fun, on-brand colors, shapes and texts to the posts. I maintain and apply the consistent design to our Senior Spotlight, Freshman Spotlight and Tech Tip series. I also create movable GIFs to heighten interest when scrolling through our feed.

Some post info:
• My post about sushi art design was retweeted by the Broad Museum
• My post about motion graphics was shared to the official USC account for 4,000+ views
• Posts have reached 5,000+ people on Facebook

Instagram Stories

I love sharing my own stories and point of view through leading Instagram takeovers. I was selected to lead an Instagram takeover on the official University of Southern California's Instagram page with 55,000+ followers, taking viewers around my day.

Integrated Marketing

In addition to sharing content and stories on social media platforms, I also work with the Communications Coordinator and Director of Events on additional projects for marketing.

Work includes:
• Conducting interviews and posting Student Stories on the Academy's official website, The Pulse of Innovation: The latest news and updates at the Academy and in the field
• Discover USC Presentation Deck for prospective students and families
• Season's Greetings Print Card
• Trojan Family Weekend Invitation and Button

USC's Master of Science in Integrated Design, Business and Technology
I created and designed the official advertisements for the USC Iovine and Young Master of Science in Integrated Design, Business and Technology that will be shared across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter platforms.

USC Motion Graphic
I created a motion graphic for a Multimedia project to give tips for the sixty second pitch video requirement. The intended audience is prospective students of the USC Iovine and Young Academy Master of Science in Integrated Design, Business and Technology.
